The sale of a property by Planifica Madrid, the public buying and selling company of the Community of Madrid, leaves a difference of more than 18 million euros between the price of the operation and what the official accounts reflect. The information, reported by laSexta Xplica, indicates that one of the three lots sold, that of Santa Catalina 6, was closed for 26 million euros, while the public accounting only shows an advance of 7.8 million.
The discrepancy coincides with another accounting movement: 18 days later after that operation, 6.3 million euros were paid for the Chamberí penthouse linked to the regional president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, a property that the Community justified this week as official accommodation.
The Minister of the Presidency, Miguel Ángel García Martín, defended in the Assembly of Madrid that the penthouse is an "institutional property with an area designated for a workplace" and that its use will be for "occasional accommodation for authorities on official visits to the Community of Madrid or the authorities of the region itself."

The CEO of Planifica Madrid has the authority to manage these operations "in the manner and conditions he deems appropriate" and "without any limitation in general", according to the information released. The Assembly of Madrid had requested his appearance, but the statement was vetoed and only the Minister of the Presidency appeared.
The accounts of the public company are now pending clarification of the destination of the 18 million euros remaining from the sale, a difference that the opposition links to the payment schedule of the penthouse. The Community has not yet detailed the complete breakdown of the income obtained from the three lots sold.
