November is that strange month when there are still some Halloween sweets at home and the supermarket is already eyeing you with a nougat face.
Mercadona knows this and has filled its shelves with a dozen new products ranging from the most sensible (a classic cocoa croissant) to the downright experimental (a chocolate filled with bacon and cheese cone flavour, yes, you read that right). Here’s what has arrived, how much it costs, and what’s worth adding to your basket.
Sweets that bring Christmas early
The Valencian chain has decided that December starts on November 1st, and the sweets section is the first proof. Most of the launches this month are sweet, with prices rarely exceeding two and a half euros.
Chocolates, bars and Lotus cream
The Senzza Cream Hazelnut milk chocolate bonbons come in a pack of 12 for €2.20, clearly designed for that tray you bring out when family visits and which disappears before coffee. Next to them are the Hacendado Creamy chocolate and caramel bars filled with nougat cream, in a pack of six for €1.85. In other words, nougat in bar format for those who can’t wait until Christmas Eve.
However, the one that will make the most noise is the Lotus Biscoff caramelised cookie cream, in a 400-gram jar for €2.50. Fans of this cookie have been buying it at other chains for some time, so it’s likely that the shelf will empty quickly in the first weeks.
Desserts and pastries for everyday
For spoon desserts, the new Hacendado Caramel Cake, which combines cheese and salted caramel, is sold in a pack of two for €1.70. And in the store’s oven, a classic arrives without complications: the cocoa-filled croissant, weighing 105 grams, at €1.35 each. It doesn’t reinvent anything, but it doesn’t need to.
The chocolate nobody expected
The Hacendado Fussion collection is once again playing mad scientist with a bar of milk chocolate filled with bacon and cheese cone cream. It costs €1.75, which is a reasonable price to satisfy curiosity or to play a prank on your brother-in-law. Whether it succeeds or ends up being a souvenir for social media will be told by the shelf.

Savory news for Friday's burger
On the savoury side, Mercadona is targeting a very specific audience: those who make burgers at home and want them to look like gourmet burgers.
Hannibal sauce and pretzel bread
The Hacendado spiced sweet and sour Hannibal sauce comes in a 305-gram jar for €1.80, suitable for both burgers and sandwiches. To accompany it, the new pretzel-flavoured burger bread, with that typical salty touch of German pretzels, is sold in a pack of two for €1.05. Combine both products and Friday's dinner is sorted for less than the cost of a soft drink on a terrace.
Flautas with three new flavours
The flautas section is not launching one flavour, but three: sweet chilli chicken and cheese, serrana, and pulled pork, all for €2.30. It’s one of the best-selling lines in the store for quick meals, and expanding the menu all at once says a lot about how it sells.
Florence loin for the deli
In the deli section, the Florence pork loin from La Carloteña appears, with 98% meat and roasted in the oven with fine herbs. The 125-gram sliced pack costs €2.50, a practical option for sandwiches or an impromptu platter.
Coffee, liqueur, and other curiosities of the month
Cookie-flavoured capsules
The new Hacendado Biscuit coffee capsules, compatible with Nespresso machines, are sold in a box of ten for €2.40. Coffee with cookie flavour for dipping without a cookie: this was the future.

Roditas liqueur
The most talked-about launch of the month is probably the Royal Swan Roditas liqueur, inspired by Hacendado's white chocolate-coated cookies. The 700-millilitre bottle costs €6.35 and follows the trend of other cream liqueurs that the chain has turned into a post-meal phenomenon. Ideal for company dinners, in moderation and without late-night WhatsApp messages.
What’s changing in stores beyond the shelves
The news from Mercadona in November isn’t limited to products. The company continues to expand two services that are transforming its supermarkets.
Ready to Eat and freshly brewed coffee
Of the 1,621 supermarkets it has in Spain, 1,437 already have the Ready to Eat section, and the company is continuing to complete the rest. The next opening scheduled for this month is the Camí Real de Catarroja (Valencia) on November 30, followed by a store in Zaragoza in December.
Meanwhile, the freshly ground coffee service is being rolled out, served at one of the store entrances with options for espresso, cortado, with milk, and cappuccino, to enjoy in the seating area or to take away. It’s already available in 584 establishments, with the latest additions arriving at the end of October in Málaga, Arteixo, Alcalá de Henares, and Las Rozas.
Is Mercadona doing Black Friday?
The question repeats every year and the answer does too: no. Mercadona maintains its strategy of stable prices without special offers, so on November 27 you won’t see discount signs in its aisles. If you’re looking for bargains, the logic here is different: compare the price per kilo and take advantage of the new products while they last, as some are seasonal.
What will arrive at the end of the month
If the usual calendar repeats, the Christmas assortment of deli meats and cheeses should arrive at the end of November, with the return of highly sought-after references and some new items. It’s worth keeping this in mind before filling your pantry, as seasonal products tend to sell out quickly and not all return the following year. In the meantime, the Lotus cream and Roditas liqueur are already there, waiting for someone to have the willpower to walk past. Good luck with that.
