The Municipal Council of Tetuan and Noche Madrid are promoting a plan to reduce the environmental impact of nightlife in AZCA, Avenida de Brasil, Orense and Cuatro Caminos. Training for access controllers will be held on November 3 and 5.
The Municipal Council of the District of Tetuan and the association Noche Madrid, which groups together nightlife and entertainment entrepreneurs in the Community of Madrid, have launched a plan for the environmental protection of the district's leisure areas. According to nochemadrid.org, the program includes protocols for establishments, training for access controllers, and awareness campaigns for the public.
The plan will be implemented in four areas: AZCA, Avenida de Brasil, Orense Street, and Cuatro Caminos. Each area will be addressed according to its type of venue, its urban layout, and its audience. The initiative has the collaboration of the Regional Federation of Neighbourhood Associations of Madrid (FRAVM), the NGO Controla Club, and the platform Fourvenues.
The training will cover queue and access management, environmental cleanliness, conflict prevention and mediation, and managing the exit of the public. A total of 12 venues and 25 workers will participate, forming a working group to monitor the plan. The sessions will take place on November 3 and 5, from 16:30 to 19:30, at the José de Espronceda Sociocultural Centre, located at Almansa Street, 9.
The campaign #EnLaCalleSilencio will include mediation actions in public spaces and around the venues. The establishments will receive a kit with signage, social media content, and an audio message to request an orderly evacuation. The project will conclude with the presentation of results and the awarding of certificates to the participating venues.
