The renovation works at Santiago Bernabéu station, on Line 10 of the Metro, are already 70% complete. The stop will have a budget of 66 million and will be called "Bernabéu".

According to Madrid Actual, the Madrid metro has reported that the comprehensive renovation works at the Santiago Bernabéu station, on Line 10 of the Metro, have exceeded 70% completion. The project has a budget of 66 million euros and the regional government expects to finish it in the first quarter of 2027.

The stop will expand from 4,843 to over 12,400 square meters, featuring a main hall that will connect the street with the platforms. It will have two access points linked to the stadium and a new one towards the financial area of Azca, as well as 12 elevators and 24 escalators.

According to the Metro Infrastructure and Stations Service, the main hall, intermediate levels, and several galleries connecting to the platforms have already been completed. The head of this service, Carlos Zorita, explained that work is currently underway on the connections between the intermediate level and the platforms.

We have already completed the intermediate level of the station and are currently finalising the connections of this level with the platforms through galleries.

Zorita added that four of the elevators connecting the street with the halls have already been installed, ensuring the station is accessible for people with reduced mobility.

Line 10 has been closed between Cuzco and Nuevos Ministerios since March 28. Service will resume at the end of December, but in this first phase, trains will pass through Santiago Bernabéu without stopping, and the station will remain closed until the renovation is complete.

During the closure, a free alternative bus service will operate, with a vehicle every three to five minutes to Plaza de Castilla.
