Portuguese coach José Mourinho did not attend this Tuesday's annual meeting of coaches with the Technical Committee of Referees at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas. According to the organisers, his absence was due to a scheduling conflict communicated in advance.

The meeting was attended by the 42 coaches from the First and Second Divisions, as reported by elperiodico.com. Confirmed attendees included Hansi Flick (Barcelona) and Diego Pablo Simeone (Atlético de Madrid), but not José Mourinho, coach of Real Madrid, whose absence was one of four recorded.
Organisational sources explained that Mourinho had previously communicated that he would not be able to attend due to a scheduling conflict, as it coincided with private matters he needed to resolve. Therefore, it was not a protest against the refereeing performance from last Sunday at the Metropolitano, where the Portuguese denounced refereeing decisions, nor related to other appointments that the white club has been questioning in recent weeks.

The meeting was held during the international break and addressed two main issues. The first was the payment problems faced by coaches in the more modest clubs of the Second Division, a matter that, according to the same sources, has been resolved. The meeting was also attended by the president of the CTA, Fran Soto, and the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Rafael Louzán. In addition to Simeone and Flick, coaches such as Luis García Plaza (Sevilla), Edin Terzić, Manolo González (Espanyol), and Luis Miguel Ramis (Osasuna) were present, along with coaches without a team such as Jagoba Arrasate or Éder Sarabia.
The next meeting between coaches and referees does not have a confirmed date, but the CTA maintains its usual schedule of meetings with clubs throughout the season.
