Más Madrid has opened primaries in 23 Madrid municipalities to choose its candidates for the mayoralties in May 2027. Voting will take place between 30 November and 2 December.

According to elconstitucional.es, Más Madrid has launched a second round of primaries to select those who will lead its candidacies for the mayoralties of 23 municipalities in the Community of Madrid in the local elections of May 2027. The internal processes aim to finalise the municipal teams before that date.

The schedule provides that the deadline for correcting the electoral roll and submitting representatives will remain open until 6 November. The internal campaign will take place between 23 and 27 November, with a pause for the general elections on 29 November, and voting will occur between 30 November and 2 December.

The first round was held before the summer and included candidacies for the Assembly of Madrid and several municipalities, including the capital and Alcorcón.

Más Madrid is part of the municipal government in two of the towns. In Getafe, it has responsibilities in Ecological Transition and Environment, Citizen Participation and Action in Neighbourhoods, Youth and Democratic Memory. In Cercedilla, it took on the areas of Education, Social Movements and Citizen Participation in 2025.

The primaries also affect Arganda del Rey, Arroyomolinos, Boadilla del Monte, Bocema (El Boalo, Cerceda and Mataelpino), Ciempozuelos, Colmenar Viejo, Colmenarejo, Fuenlabrada, Hoyo de Manzanares, Las Rozas, Majadahonda, Morata de Tajuña, Navalcarnero, Paracuellos de Jarama, Pinto, San Fernando de Henares, San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Torrelodones, Valdemorillo, Villanueva de la Cañada and Villaviciosa de Odón. In these municipalities, the voting will decide who heads the party list.

At the same time, the party is negotiating the candidacies of the Frente Amplio for the general elections on 29 November. Its leadership proposed that Emilio Delgado lead the coalition's candidacy in Madrid, with Mónica García in the second position, and argues that parties with territorial presence should decide the composition of their lists. The municipal primaries are a separate phase of this preparation and should be resolved by early December.
