The Crime Balance from the Ministry of the Interior places Pozuelo de Alarcón as the city with more than 20,000 inhabitants with the lowest crime rate in the Community of Madrid between January and June. It records 14.8 offences for every thousand residents.
Pozuelo de Alarcón is the municipality with more than 20,000 inhabitants with the lowest crime rate in the Community of Madrid, according to the Crime Balance from the Ministry of the Interior for the second quarter of 2026, which compiles data from January to June, as reported by diariodepozuelo.es.
During this period, the locality recorded 14.8 crimes per thousand inhabitants, the lowest figure in the entire region. It is followed by Tres Cantos (17.7), Fuenlabrada (18.1), and Boadilla del Monte (18.9).
In conventional crime, which generates the most concern among residents and has increased by 2.6% across the Community of Madrid, Pozuelo also presents the best rate, with 10.3 crimes per thousand inhabitants, representing a decrease of 1.7% compared to the same period in 2025. Tres Cantos (10.95) and Boadilla del Monte (10.96) complete the best records.
Cybercrime, which continues to grow in the region, places Pozuelo among the five Madrid cities with the fewest cases: 4.5 per thousand inhabitants, behind Leganés (3), San Martín de la Vega (3.8), Parla (3.9), and Torrejón de Ardoz (4). The report highlights that surrounding municipalities with similar socioeconomic characteristics exceed 7, a common phenomenon in high-income areas.
In absolute figures, Pozuelo also ranks among the municipalities in its area with the fewest cases of crimes that generate the most social alarm, such as crimes against sexual freedom or violent and residential robberies. Vehicle thefts decreased from 31 to 29 in the last year, violent robberies rose from 9 to 10, and drug trafficking cases increased from 1 to 7.
