The Community of Madrid and the technology company Cloudflare have signed a three-year protocol to apply agentic artificial intelligence in 1,400 administrative processes and train senior officials through the Madrid Digital AI Trailblazer programme.
The Community of Madrid and the technology company Cloudflare have entered into a three-year collaboration protocol to strengthen the security of public administration and Madrid-based companies in the face of advancing artificial intelligence. The agreement was signed in San Francisco (United States) by the Minister of Digitalisation, Miguel López-Valverde, and the president and founder of Cloudflare, Michell Zatlyn, as reported by La Voz de Madrid.
The protocol includes the use of agentic AI and automation to expedite 1,400 administrative processes of the Community of Madrid. To oversee its implementation, the Madrid Digital AI Trailblazer programme will be launched, aimed at senior officials, who will be trained in the use and oversight of these technologies.
The agreement also includes a Startup Acceleration Programme that will provide access to Cloudflare services to create secure digital infrastructures and develop AI-based applications. Three training and certification sessions will be held for up to 300 participants per session, with access to AI laboratories and personalised advice.
Research projects from Madrid's universities will receive support under the agreement, which aims to connect talent and entrepreneurship with the possibilities of AI. The two parties will also explore measures to improve digital infrastructures and the security of the Community of Madrid, with encryption and authentication systems, and will analyse the potential establishment of a Cloudflare headquarters in the region as a centre for European operations.
