The Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix will be held from September 11 to 13, 2026, at the Madring circuit, in the area of IFEMA Madrid and Valdebebas. The race will take place on Sunday at 15:00, and tickets are only sold as a three-day pass.
The Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix will take place in Madrid from Friday, September 11 to Sunday, September 13, 2026 at the new Madring circuit, located in the vicinity of IFEMA Madrid and Valdebebas, as confirmed by Europa Press. This event will mark the return of Formula 1 to the capital four decades after its last race at Jarama.
The track, which is semi-urban in nature, will measure 5.416 kilometers, feature 22 corners, and the race is planned to consist of 57 laps, covering a total of 308.524 kilometers, according to data published by Formula 1. The organisers expect the cars to reach speeds of 340 km/h on the straights and it will include the longest banked corner on the calendar.
The schedule of activities will be spread over three days. On Friday, September 11, there will be free practice sessions for Formula 1 (at 13:30 and 17:00) and the initial sessions for Formula 2 and Formula 3. On Saturday, September 12, the third practice session will take place (12:30) followed by qualifying (16:00), which will determine the starting grid. On Sunday, September 13, before the race, there will be a drivers' parade at 13:00 and morning sessions for the support categories.
The race for the Spanish Grand Prix will take place on Sunday from 15:00 to 17:00. General tickets have only been sold as a three-day pass, so single-day tickets are not available.
The Madring circuit will occupy an area in the northeast of the capital, close to Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport. The organisers recommend using public transport to access the venue, which will have connections via Metro, Cercanías, EMT, taxi, and VTC, as well as shuttles. The track will include a main straight of 589 meters, an urban area on Ribera del Sena street, and sections like the Subida de las Cárcavas or El Búnker, in the Valdebebas area.
