The Civil Guard and the National Police of Ourense have dismantled an organisation dedicated to drug trafficking that operated in several provinces. The operation resulted in five arrests across Ourense, Huesca and Madrid, and the seizure of 36 kilograms of cocaine and a firearm, according to aragonplay.es.
The arrests were distributed across the territory: one in Fraga (Huesca), two in Valdemoro (Madrid), one in Seixalbo (Ourense) and another in the capital of Ourense. In the case of Fraga, agents intercepted the vehicle of the group's alleged leader while driving through the municipality and found a stash of 36 kilos of cocaine inside.
The network's method involved stockpiling the drugs at ports, storing them, and then distributing them throughout Spain. They used vehicles with modified fuel tanks, known as hidden compartments.

The investigation began in early 2025, when agents detected activities linked to drug trafficking in the province of Ourense. Throughout the investigation, five home searches were carried out: one residence in Seixalbo, where a firearm was found, and others in Allariz, the capital of Ourense, Aldea del Fresno and Valdemoro.
During the searches, several backpacks used for transporting drugs by sea were also seized. The investigation remains open and the detainees are scheduled to appear this Friday before the magistrate of Court number 3 of Instruction of the Court of First Instance of Ourense.
