An explosion in a residence on Avenida Reyes Católicos in Valdemoro has caused a fire affecting two floors. There are no injuries, but three dogs died and a fourth was rescued in cardiac arrest.
An explosion on the first floor of a block of flats in the gated community located at number 24 Avenida Reyes Católicos in Valdemoro has caused material damage to the property and the death of three dogs. The incident, according to Emergencias 112 Comunidad de Madrid, occurred this Wednesday around 8:25 AM.
The explosion led to a fire that affected both the upper and lower floors of the residence where the events originated. The causes are still under investigation. The information, reported by Noticias para Municipios, details that six units of the Bomberos de la Comunidad de Madrid were dispatched to work on extinguishing the fire, along with a preventive medical unit from Summa 112.
No person was injured in the incident. However, emergency services rescued four dogs from the interior of an attic in the affected block, which showed signs of smoke inhalation. Three of the animals died, while the fourth was successfully revived from cardiac arrest and was subsequently handed over to a veterinarian.
