Huelva City Council will participate on November 24 in the seventh edition of the PMH2, Hydrogen Sector Meeting at La Nave, Madrid, where it will coordinate a round table on the municipal impact of these projects and have its own stand.
The Huelva City Council will attend the seventh edition of the PMH2, Hydrogen Sector Meeting on November 24, which will take place at La Nave in Madrid. It will do so as an institutional partner of the event organized by ARIEMA, as reported by Huelva Información.
The Huelva representation will coordinate a round table focused on the opportunities and challenges that the implementation of hydrogen projects poses to municipalities. Representatives from various localities that already host or promote initiatives in this sector will participate in the debate.
The meeting will address the role of local administrations in the energy transition, from the arrival of new investments to the impact on employment, business activity, and the economic development of the territories. Participants will share experiences on how these projects have been received in their respective municipalities.
Huelva will also have its own stand during the day to promote the possibilities of the capital and its surroundings to companies and investors, and to facilitate technical contact with the present agents.
Among the arguments that the province puts forward to position itself on the Spanish map of green hydrogen are the demand from its industry, its renewable potential, and its port infrastructures.
The meeting will discuss the Onuba de Moeve project in Palos de la Frontera, which includes 300 MW of electrolysis expandable to 400 MW and an investment of over 1 billion euros. This is in addition to other initiatives for the manufacture of electrolyzers and the research activities of the University of Huelva.
ARIEMA, the organizer of PMH2, is promoting a factory for electrolyzers in Huelva with a planned capacity of 200 MW annually and an investment of 35 million euros. The company estimates that it will generate 400 direct jobs and will have 70% of national suppliers.
The presence in Madrid also aims to bring these investments closer to Huelva's auxiliary companies. Engineering firms, equipment suppliers, and other companies in the sector will be able to learn about the needs of the new projects and explore collaboration opportunities in a value chain still under development.
The PMH2 will bring together more than 90 speakers and will address issues such as hydrogen production, its logistics, regulation, and its industrial uses. The program includes three strategic round tables and a B2B bilateral meeting system to arrange meetings with clients, partners, and entities.
The event will take place on November 24 at La Nave in Madrid, with access through registration on the event's website.
