A 27-year-old man died and another aged 42 was left in a very serious condition after the vehicle they were travelling in veered off the road and crashed into a tree at the junction of the M-315 and the M-404.
A 27-year-old man has died and another 42 is in a very serious condition after the car they were travelling in veered off the road and collided with a tree in Colmenar de Oreja. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, around 1:48 AM, at the junction of the M-315 and the M-404, as reported by Emergencias 112 Comunidad de Madrid to madridactual.es.
The emergency call was received at that same time. Upon arrival of the Summa112 teams, emergency services confirmed that the vehicle had violently collided head-on with a tree.
Paramedics confirmed the death of the 27-year-old due to multiple traumatic injuries. The body was trapped inside the car and had to be freed by the Firefighters of the Community of Madrid.
The other occupant, aged 42, was found several meters from the car. He suffered from severe cranioencephalic trauma, as well as thoracic and abdominal trauma. Paramedics stabilized him, intubated him, and transported him with a very serious prognosis to Hospital Gregorio Marañón.
The Guardia Civil is investigating the causes of the accident, which occurred in the early hours at this crossroads in the southeast region.
