The Madrid president urges "that no one should even think about voting by post" and the Vox leader says he does not trust "absolutely anything". Neither presented any irregularities or figures two months before the elections.

Isabel Díaz Ayuso and Santiago Abascal have cast doubt on postal voting even before the electoral call for November 29 is published in the BOE. The president of the Community of Madrid, during an informative breakfast, asked voters to avoid that route: "I ask everyone not to even think about voting by post". The Vox leader, in an interview on Antena 3 reported by Europa Press, as published by catalunyapress.es, demanded voting "in the ballot box" and "safely" and stated that he does not trust "absolutely anything".

Neither of them provided a specific irregularity, a documented case, or a figure to support their claims. Doubt thus settles in the pre-campaign without any evidential support.

Postal voting is 100% secure and absolutely recognised by everyone

The Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes, Félix Bolaños, responded to these statements and defended the robustness of the system. Behind each ballot cast by post are public employees doing their job, including the postal workers, an entity that was led by Alberto Núñez Feijóo.

The PSOE has demanded that the leader of the PP disavow Ayuso and Abascal. Socialist deputy Patxi López described the strategy of sowing doubts about the ballot boxes as undemocratic, a tactic that, he pointed out, seeks to have an excuse ready in case the result is not as desired.

The electoral call has not yet been published in the Official State Bulletin. The elections are set for November 29, and postal voting can be requested once the official procedure is activated, which will be communicated through Correos and the electoral body's website.
