The Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix arrives at Ifema from 11 to 13 September, and the Madrid City Council will close several streets in the area from Thursday 10 to Monday 14. The Municipal Police may extend the closures depending on attendance.

Madrid hosts the Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 September in the vicinity of Ifema. The Madrid City Council has planned a mobility operation that includes traffic closures, access restrictions, and changes in circulation on several streets and roads near the venue, as reported by elDiario.es.

The closures are not limited to the competition days. Some roads will remain closed from Thursday 10 to Monday 14 September to allow for the assembly and disassembly of the temporary circuit facilities.

The main roads affected during these days are:

Ribera del Sena, from the Luxembourg roundabout to the Edinburgh roundabout and from the latter to the M-40. Vía de Dublín, from the Edinburgh roundabout to Ariadna street and from its junction with this street to the Sintra roundabout. Francisco Umbral, between Vía de Dublín and past the Pascual Bravo roundabout; from that point, Ariadna street will also be affected.

The City Council recommends using public transport to reach the area. During the competition days, several mobility rings and protection zones will be deployed to manage traffic and control access, aiming to prevent vehicle congestion from impacting the neighborhoods and activities surrounding the venue.

The Municipal Police may extend the closures to other nearby roads depending on traffic conditions and security needs. Drivers needing to travel around Ifema should consult the updated restrictions map before setting out.
