According to El Español, the tavern La Tienta offers Madrid stew only on Thursdays, at a price of 25 euros per person. The establishment is located just a few steps from the bullring of Las Ventas in Madrid, and it is served in portions, allowing each ingredient to be enjoyed separately.
The stew is the most sought-after spoon dish in autumn and winter in the capital. In addition to the soup, the menu includes chickpeas, vegetables, and meats, and is part of a traditional cuisine menu that the establishment maintains throughout the year.
Among the rest of its offerings are broken eggs with Iberian ham, ratatouille, croquettes, ear, and sweetbreads. In the stews section, there are lentils, beans with chorizo, and pochas with hake, while the grill includes lamb chops, aged beef ribeye, tenderloin, and Iberian secreto.
The torreznos are one of the standout products of the establishment. La Taberna La Tienta received recognition as the best in the Community of Madrid in 2026, and with that award, it participated in the final of the Best Torrezno in the World competition, held in March in El Burgo de Osma (Soria).
Among its regular customers is former Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas, who visits the restaurant with former teammates such as Miguel Torres, José Manuel Jurado, and Miguel Ángel Moyá.
To enjoy the stew, locals must go on Thursdays. On other days, the dessert menu, featuring rice pudding, cheesecake, and egg flan, remains available.
