The tenth Race Against Cancer in Arganda del Rey takes place this Sunday with a new feature: the finish line is moving for the first time to the Plaza de la Alegría. The start will be at 10:00.

The finish line of the Race Against Cancer in Arganda del Rey will be set up for the first time in the Plaza de la Alegría, as reported by Madrid Actual. The organisation aims to reinforce this charitable event that seeks to raise awareness of the disease and support its research.

The event is organised by the Arganda del Rey City Council together with the Spanish Association Against Cancer. The start will be at 10:00 from the Plaza de la Constitución and there will be two routes, of 2 and 5 kilometres.

The mayor, Alberto Escribano, believes that the new finish line location will add more significance to the race:

to give even more relevance to this key event for the social fabric of Arganda

The organisation hopes to exceed this year's number of participants from the previous edition, which was, in the mayor's words, “the most attended to date.”
