Fotocasa estimates that the artist will earn around 50 million from her twelve concerts in Madrid. With that money, 115 flats of 80 square meters could be purchased in the region.
The tour 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour' by Shakira will feature twelve concerts in Madrid. The real estate portal Fotocasa has calculated, based on housing prices from August, that the gross revenue from these performances will be around 84 million euros and that the net income for the artist will be about 50 million, according to elperiodico.com.
The calculation is based on a forecast of more than 50,000 attendees per concert and an average ticket price of 140 euros. Fotocasa then applies a 60% percentage on the box office to estimate what the singer receives, after deducting the promoter, production, band, staging, transport, and taxes.
With that 50 million, in the Community of Madrid, 115 flats of 80 square meters could be acquired at current prices. This figure is slightly higher than that of the Balearic Islands, where the same money would suffice for 114 properties, the territory with the lowest purchasing power in the study.
The average price of housing in the Balearic Islands reached 5,443 euros per square meter in August, placing a typical 80 square meter flat at 435,459 euros. Across Spain, Fotocasa estimates that the same property is worth 253,270 euros, meaning that 50 million would allow for the purchase of 197 flats.
The difference between communities is significant. With the same amount, 452 flats could be acquired in Extremadura, 435 in Castilla-La Mancha, 211 in Andalucía, and 179 in Catalonia. Madrid stands at 115, just ahead of the Balearic Islands among the territories analyzed.
