Plaza de Colón hosts the tenth edition of the fair from October 1 to 4, bringing together 17 bookstores and publishers and 142 authors signing copies. Mexico is the guest country and Daniela Tarazona participates in the inauguration.

The tenth edition of the Majadahonda Book Fair takes place from October 1 to 4 in Plaza de Colón. It features 17 bookstores and publishers, two more than in the previous edition, and it is expected that 142 authors will sign their books at the booths. The information, provided by actualidadliteratura.com, details that Mexico is the guest country and that the writer Daniela Tarazona, winner of the Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Literature Prize, will participate in the inauguration.

Among the confirmed publishers and bookstores are Librería JJ, Editorial Armaenia, Librería Sirnilan Comics, Editorial Ybernia, Editorial Maluma, Editorial Palabras de agua, Editorial Nueva Estrella, Editorial Esstudio Ediciones, Librería La Isla de los cuentos, Librería Ofisierra, El desván de la Memoria, Ediciones Ruser, Editorial Emonautas, Maniac Ediciones, Libros Indie, Editorial Bunker Books, and Editorial Almadía. All of them will occupy the booths in the square for the four days.

The central tent will host free activities such as oral storytelling, creative workshops, children's treasure hunts with literary clues, and meetings to promote reading. A workshop on Mexican basketry, poetry sessions, accordion binding, and bookmark creation have also been scheduled. The closing will be led by Grupo 7, a group of nine poets who will offer a presentation and a poetry recital.

The fair continues its commitment to combining family programming, invited authors, and community participation. This event joins other book fairs taking place in October in Spain, such as those in Jerez de la Frontera (from September 30 to October 4), La Laguna (from October 8 to 12), and the XL Antiquarian and Second-Hand Book Fair of Alcalá de Henares, which remains open until October 18.

Access to the Majadahonda Book Fair is free, and the activities in the tent are free until capacity is reached. The venue opens in the morning and afternoon during the four days.
