The municipal agency opens the application period for scaling startups. In 13 editions, 127 companies have participated in the forum and 20% have secured private funding.

The municipal agency Madrid Emprende has opened the registration period for the fourteenth edition of its Investment Forum, as reported by ecosistemastartup.com. The participating startups in the previous thirteen editions have raised over €7.5 million in private capital, and 20% of the 127 companies that have gone through the forum have successfully closed funding.

The success rate is at the higher end of the usual range in Spain, which the organization places between 10% and 20% for such events. The forum offers prior advice, direct contact with investors, and follow-up until the closing of the round, not just a day of presentations.

The deadline for submitting applications ends on October 18, 2026. Companies must fill out the form provided by Madrid Emprende and attach their investment proposal. The requirements are four: having a developed minimum viable product, having initial traction metrics, a founding team committed full-time, and funding needs starting from €100,000.

The forum is aimed at companies that are in the scaling and growth phase and need a boost in the form of private capital,” said the delegated councillor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Ángel Niño.

Niño added that the mobilised capital is “intended to boost the growth, market positioning, scalability, and internationalisation of the participating companies.”

After the application period closes, a committee will evaluate the applications and select ten finalist companies. The chosen projects will present to investors on December 1, 2026, at 17:00 at the Palacio de Cibeles in Madrid.

The finalists will receive specialised advice before the event to prepare their presentation, support to establish contacts with investors before and during the forum, and follow-up on the results until the negotiations are closed.

Interested startups can register until October 18, 2026, through the Madrid Emprende form. The list of finalists will be announced after the evaluation of the applications.
