The pizza chain Can Pizza will allocate €7.2 million to nearly double its network and plans to add four restaurants in Madrid during 2026. The company will grow from 13 to 25 establishments by 2028.
Can Pizza has launched an investment plan of €7.2 million to nearly double its restaurant network over the next two years. The company, which currently has 13 locations, plans to open between three and four establishments each year until it reaches 25 by 2028, according to the specialised media outlet restauracionnews.com.
The company expects to close 2026 with net sales exceeding €12 million, its first full year after the complete acquisition by Abordador Capital and the unification of its corporate structure. Reyes Giménez joined as CEO in September 2025 to lead this phase.
For 2027, forecasts raise net revenue to €16 million, a 33% increase, and anticipate having 18 operational locations. The strategy will continue to rely on owned locations: the current 13 are company-owned, and franchising is not considered in the short term.
Madrid plays a significant role in the expansion. Can Pizza opened a restaurant in Las Tablas in August and another in Pozuelo de Alarcón in September, with plans to add two more before the end of the year. One has already been signed, although its location has not been disclosed, and the second is still being sought. In total, the company will have added four new restaurants in Madrid during 2026.
Madrid and Barcelona remain priority markets. In the Catalan capital, the strategy focuses on strengthening its presence in the industrial belt. The company also does not rule out expanding to other Spanish cities if it finds locations that meet its profitability criteria.
After my incorporation and the corporate merger, we are working on consolidating the company, focusing on organic growth and cost optimisation," says the CEO.
Giménez identifies product quality, innovation, and customer experience as key levers to build "a more solid, scalable company with a greater capacity to generate sustainable value."
The expansion will be supported by the internal reorganisation of the past year. According to the CEO, the corporate integration allows for centralising functions and absorbing network growth without increasing operational costs at the same rate.
In parallel, Can Pizza opened its first restaurant adapted for coeliac customers this year in Ronda Universitat, Barcelona. The location uses a hybrid model with a traditional offer and a gluten-free menu certified by the Associació Celíacs de Catalunya. The company will study this first project as a basis for potential implementation in other restaurants in the network.
Founded in 2014 in El Prat de Llobregat, Can Pizza currently has a presence in Barcelona, Madrid, and Ibiza. The upcoming openings in the Community of Madrid will be announced throughout 2026.
