The club identifies Bukaneros members among those behind the attempted assault on the box during the Vallecas Trophy, which ended with graffiti against Martín Presa and shouts against him.
The Rayo Vallecano has publicly denounced the attempted assault on the box of the Estadio de Vallecas during the Vallecas Trophy match against the Italian Cagliari. The club describes the events as "very serious" and claims to have identified several of the participants, "mostly hooded and some belonging to the ultra group Bukaneros."
The information, reported by iusport.com, details that the incidents occurred in three phases. Firstly, a group of people attempted to assault the box from outside the stands. Then, from the side access door located in the vomitory, they knocked insistently with the intention of entering. When they were unsuccessful, they tried to access through the main door of the Honor Box, which forced private security to close that access to protect the authorities inside.
According to Rayo's statement, among the assailants, "some known members of the ultra group Bukaneros have been identified, including two of the three spokespersons from the open assembly of rayista on August 2, 2026," called by the ADRV Platform, an organization that the club closely links with Bukaneros.
We will never yield to harassment and extortion. Again, we expect a public condemnation of everything that happened from all authorities and different political groups. In the face of violence, there can be no doubts or sides
The club has also expressed its gratitude to the private security and the agents of the National Police who arrived after the alert, stating that without their intervention, "we could now be lamenting a tragedy of vital dimensions."
The incidents add to the graffiti that appeared on Saturday morning in the box against Rayo's president, Raúl Martín Presa, and the insults and chants that numerous fans directed against him during the first half of the match.
