Real Madrid defender Ibrahima Konaté leaves the France camp due to a mild sprain in his right knee and returns to Madrid to recover with the club's medical staff. He will miss the four matches of the Nations League.

The defender of Real Madrid Ibrahima Konaté has left the French national team camp after suffering a mild sprain in his right knee, according to La Vanguardia. The player will return to Madrid to continue his recovery under the supervision of the club's medical staff.

Konaté felt discomfort during Wednesday's training and withdrew as a precaution. Subsequent tests confirmed the injury, which will prevent him from playing the four matches of the Nations League that France has during this international break.

The central defender will miss matches against Turkey this Friday; Italy on October 2, and the two clashes with Belgium on September 28 and October 5. Coach Didier Deschamps has called up Leny Yoro to take his place.

The initial diagnosis rules out a serious injury, but his recovery will determine the timeline for his return. The goal is to see if he can be available for Real Madrid's return to competition on October 10 against Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Konaté had been a starter in all EA Sports La Liga matches except against Málaga, and played the full 90 minutes against Inter Milan in Real Madrid's Champions League debut.

His absence adds to those of Éder Militao, Ferland Mendy, and Rodrygo Goes, who are still recovering from long-term injuries, and Fede Valverde, who has a sprain in his left ankle suffered in the derby against Atlético de Madrid.
