The Tour of Guangxi 2026 takes place from October 13 to 18 with six stages. Juan Ayuso and Marc Soler, returning after 155 days out, are the main Spanish references.
The international peloton faces the final event of the WorldTour calendar. The Tour of Guangxi 2026 is held in China from October 13 to 18 with six stages, as reported by vavel.com. The Chinese round features stages for sprinters and an explosive finish that will determine the general classification.
Among the standout names are the Spaniard Juan Ayuso (Lidl-Trek), the Briton Tom Pidcock (Pinarello Q36.5), and the Belgian Jarno Widar. Also returning to competition is Marc Soler, 155 days after the serious fall he suffered in the second stage of the Giro d'Italia.
The route includes six stages. The third stage, between Jingxi and Bama, will be the longest at 211.3 kilometres. The sixth and final stage will start from Yizhou and cover 165.9 kilometres before the final climb to Nongla, where the general classification will be decided.
The ascent to Nongla features 3.2 kilometres at an average gradient of 7.3%, but the last 1.2 kilometres reach an average gradient close to 15%. This section favours explosive riders and specialists in short efforts. Bonuses can also be decisive in a race lasting only six days.
Pidcock arrives after excelling in the Italian classics, while Widar tackles the event after winning the Tre Valli Varesine. Ayuso aims to close the season with a significant result. The reigning champion, the Briton Paul Double (Jayco AlUla), will defend the title he won in 2025.
Other names that could contend for top positions include Afonso Eulálio, Léo Bisiaux, and Mikkel Honoré. The accumulated fatigue and travel at the end of a long season open the door to surprises.
The race takes place entirely in China, with schedules set in Spanish peninsular time (CEST). The sixth stage, finishing in Nongla, will determine the winner of the general classification.
