Madrid's mayor, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, attended the National Day parade on October 12, which brought together 4,380 troops and 46 aircraft on a route between Atocha and Colón.

The mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, participated on October 12 in the events of the National Day, presided over by the kings and attended by the Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofía, as reported by noticias.madrid. The military parade began at the Glorieta del Emperador Carlos V in Atocha and proceeded along the Paseo del Prado, Plaza de Cibeles, Paseo de Recoletos, and Plaza de Colón.

This year's edition featured 4,380 troops from the Armed Forces, the Civil Guard, and the National Police. In the air, 46 aircraft participated, including fighter jets, training planes, and transport aircraft, as well as over thirty helicopters. On the ground, 144 vehicles, 39 motorcycles, nearly 300 horses, and five dogs from various units were deployed.

One of the central moments was the jump by the Air and Space Army's Acrobatic Parachute Patrol, which deployed the national flag in the sky over Madrid before the official raising in tribute to the fallen.

The Madrid City Council offered over a thousand seats in grandstands and chairs free of charge along the Paseo de Recoletos, from Plaza de Cibeles to Calle de Prim.

The city council set up two reserved areas for people with reduced mobility at the junction of Plaza de Cibeles and Paseo del Prado. At the end of the parade, Martínez-Almeida attended the reception hosted by the kings at the Royal Palace.
