Atlético Madrid won 4-0 against Valencia in Alcalá de Henares and is provisionally third in Liga F. Valencia has yet to score points after eight matches.

According to actualidadvalencia.com, Atlético Madrid thrashed Valencia 4-0 at the red-and-white sports centre in Alcalá de Henares during the eighth round of Liga F. With this victory, the Madrid team is provisionally in third place.

This is the third victory for the red-and-white team this season, bringing their total to 15 points, three less than Barcelona and one less than Real Madrid. Valencia, which changed coaches this week following the dismissal of Mikel Crespo, remains the only team in the competition without any points.

The scoring opened in the 12th minute: a backheel from Celia Segura left Synne Jensen alone, who beat goalkeeper Alice. Before half-time, Valencia created few clear chances, with the most dangerous being a long-range shot from Mascarell that forced Gene to intervene, as she started due to the suspension of Lola Gallardo.

After the break, Maite Zubieta scored the second goal in the 54th minute with a direct free kick. Gio extended the lead in the 61st minute, and Natalia capped the thrashing in the 67th with a volley from outside the box.

The referee was Zulema González González from the Galician Committee, who cautioned Valencia's Tere in the 93rd minute.
