Diego Simeone manages around 180 apartments in Madrid with his wife, according to a report aired on 'Equipo de investigación'. The coach is clear that, upon retiring, his home will be in Argentina.
According to elperiodico.com, Diego Simeone, coach of Atlético de Madrid, owns around 180 apartments in Madrid and several student residences, managed alongside his wife, Carla Pereyra, through their own company.
This information was revealed in the programme 'Equipo de investigación', which focused on major property owners. As explained in the show, the business started with the purchase of homes to rent them out and has grown to reach million-euro figures.
The company, Carpersim, combines Carla's name with both their surnames. In their latest accounts presented, corresponding to 2024, they reported around 40 million euros in assets.
The scale of these investments has placed the coach at the centre of the debate about access to housing. Simeone has not commented on the issue.
Regarding his future plans, the coach spoke in an interview with the Argentine newspaper 'La Nación', published in 2016:
If you asked me where I will live when I stop coaching, I would logically answer in Argentina. Where else? It’s my country.
For now, Simeone remains linked to Atlético de Madrid, a club he joined in December 2011. According to the information, the capital will not be his permanent home when the time comes to retire.
