The Governing Council has approved the expansion of the training voucher programme for those under 30. The amount rises to €3,000 for low incomes and the access threshold is now six times the IPREM.
The Community of Madrid has expanded the programme of direct aid for unemployed young people to finance training. The Governing Council approved this week the new regulatory rules, which raise the maximum amount and open the door to more applicants.
The main change is the income threshold: now those with incomes of up to six times the IPREM can apply for the aid, a higher limit than before. Additionally, applicants with fewer resources, who do not exceed three times the IPREM, will receive double: the aid increases from €1,500 to €3,000. The programme, coordinated by the Department of Economy, Finance and Employment, provides training vouchers tailored to the profile of each beneficiary. Before receiving them, interested parties go through an orientation process at employment offices.
The aid is intended for training actions of at least 10 hours, excluding days or conferences. Each applicant can submit a single request per year, and must do so within one month from the registration or reservation of the course. To ease the initial outlay, 30% of the amount is advanced and the rest is delivered upon completion of the training.
The deadline to apply for the aid will open when the rules are published in the Official Bulletin of the Community of Madrid (BOCM) and will close on 10 December. The entire process is done through the Digital Administration of the Community of Madrid.
