The Madridjoya fair has revealed the four awardees and the Honour Award of its first edition of awards. They will be presented during the 75th edition, which will take place at IFEMA MADRID from 24 to 27 September.
The organisation of Madridjoya has announced the winners of the first edition of its awards, aimed at recognising the contribution of various actors to the development of jewellery and watchmaking in Spain. The awards will be presented during the 75th edition of the fair, which will be held from 24 to 27 September at IFEMA MADRID.
According to the organisation, more than 300 brands and companies from over 20 countries will gather at this event. The awards recognise areas such as professional trajectory, commercial excellence, craftsmanship tradition, and innovation applied to products, processes, design, and marketing.
The Award for Tradition and Mastery of the Craft will go to Isidoro Hernández, a designer and jeweller trained at the School of the Guild of Jewellers and Silversmiths of Madrid, specialising in enamel techniques at the Yanes Foundation. His career is backed by international recognitions, including two Tahitian Pearl Trophy International Awards and the Antonio Negueruela Award for Coloured Stones.
The Award for Commercial Excellence in Jewellery and Watchmaking has been awarded to José Luis Joyerías, a company founded in A Coruña in 1973, which currently has over 110 establishments in Spain, Mexico, and Portugal. The company develops its own collections featuring natural diamonds, 18-carat gold, sterling silver, and gemstones.
The Award for Innovation in Product or Processes, Design and Marketing will go to Gold&Roses, a brand created in 2014 by gemologists and designers Sonia Ruiz and Hannah Rodríguez. The brand designs and manufactures its collections in Spain using 18-carat gold and has expanded its presence to markets such as Portugal, Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium, and Denmark.
The Award for Professional Trajectory in Jewellery and Watchmaking will honour the Aguilar de Dios family, linked to gold jewellery production for four generations. Currently, José Aguilar de Dios Fernández, Pepín, and Rafael Aguilar de Dios Fernández, Rafalín, represent the fourth generation of the company, alongside executives Pepe Aguilar de Dios Ruiz, Raquel Aguilar de Dios Cabrera, and Alejandro Aguilar de Dios Ruiz.
Finally, the Madridjoya Honour Award will be given to Pedro José Pérez Fernández. The fair will be held at the IFEMA MADRID exhibition centre and will bring together thousands of professionals from the sector.
