Isabel Díaz Ayuso will award the International Medal of the Community of Madrid to the President of Chile, José Antonio Kast, on Monday.
The Real Casa de Correos will host the award ceremony for the International Medal of the Regional Government to Chile's President, José Antonio Kast, on Monday, November 2. According to Madrid Actual, the President of the Community, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, will be the one to present it.
This is the highest honorary distinction granted by the Community of Madrid to personalities and institutions of international relevance, for:
their contribution to universal values and their impact on society
The event will take place once the decree from the President granting the medal is published in the Official Bulletin of the Community of Madrid (BOCM).
Among the recipients in recent years are Pope Leo XIV, Edmundo González (2026), Javier Milei (2024), and Volodímir Zelenski (2022). The distinction was also awarded to the United States for the 250th anniversary of its independence.
