The second edition of the Applied AI Administration School in Tres Cantos will take place from September 21 to 29 with 28 hours of in-person training. The course is aimed at unemployed individuals from the municipality and follows the success of ten out of 25 participants from the first session finding employment.
The Tres Cantos City Council has opened registration for the second edition of the Applied AI Administration School, a free course aimed at unemployed residents of the municipality that will run from September 21 to 29. The training comprises 28 hours of in-person sessions spread over seven sessions of four hours each, as reported by the City Council, as noted by Crónica Norte.
The programme combines administrative content with practical use of digital tools. Students will work with office software and ERP business management systems, as well as learn to apply artificial intelligence in everyday office tasks: summarising emails and meetings, drafting documents, creating tables and lists, and conducting more effective searches. An introduction to AI agents and specific applications is also included.
The Councillor for Economic Development and Employment, Ana Isabel Pérez, explained the course's focus:
The goal is not only to learn how to use new tools but to know how to incorporate them into daily work, practically and effectively, to acquire a more complete, versatile professional profile that meets the current demands of companies.
The training is not limited to technology. The syllabus also includes communication and customer service, oral and written communication, time management and organisation, teamwork, rigor, and confidentiality.
The first edition, held from April 14 to 22, filled all available places. A follow-up conducted in June on the 25 participants revealed that ten found jobs and another seven were involved in selection or job placement processes. Pérez linked these results to the need to adapt training to the labour market:
These results demonstrate the importance of providing training closely linked to the real needs of companies and the changes the job market is experiencing.
Interested individuals must be unemployed and reside in Tres Cantos. Classes are held in person and places are limited. Registration can be completed through the channels provided by the Tres Cantos City Council.
