Pozuelo de Alarcón will celebrate a cycling route this Saturday, October 17, connecting five university campuses in the municipality, as reported by pozueloin.es. More than a hundred people, including students, professors, and staff from the involved universities, will participate.
The start will be at 11:00 at the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (UFV). From there, the route will pass through the campuses of Universidad Villanueva, Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), and Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR), and will finish at the Somosaguas campus of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
The activity aims to promote the use of bicycles as a means of transport and encourage students and staff to adopt healthy habits. It also seeks to bring the different universities in the city closer together and foster their participation in common activities.
The event is organized by the Ayuntamiento de Pozuelo in collaboration with the participating universities and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. It is part of the collaboration protocol signed by the City Council with the seven universities based in the municipality, which includes initiatives in culture, training, summer courses, volunteering, sustainability, and mobility.
