Hospitality of Madrid has awarded the Lito Awards 2026 to 21 establishments in the region, with an average score of 8.5 out of 10. Five cafés, six bars and taverns, and ten restaurants make up the ranking.
The third edition of the Lito Awards has its winners. Hospitality of Madrid celebrated the presentation of these awards on Tuesday at the Green Room of the Teatros Canal, recognising the 21 establishments in the Community of Madrid with the best service in 2026, as reported by epe.es.
The winners have achieved an average score of 8.5 out of 10. The list includes five cafés, six bars and taverns, and ten restaurants, a combination that reflects the variety of the sector in the region.
In the café category, the awardees are Ambu Coffee (Malasaña), Coté Café (Zarzalejo), Teapots Madrid (Centro), Cafelito (Lavapiés), and MÖOI Petit (Barrio de Salamanca). The offerings range from specialty coffee to spaces dedicated to tea.
The awards for bars and taverns went to Gozar Neotaberna Castiza (Puerta del Ángel), Taberna 7 (Alcalá de Henares), Taberna Antonio Sánchez (Madrid), Ponzano 12 (Chamberí), Barrafina Madrid (Arganzuela), and La Barra de La Tasquería (Madrid). In this category, historic establishments coexist with new versions of the bar and tavern.
In the restaurant category, the recognition has gone to El Ronquillo (Loeches), Triciclo (Barrio de Las Letras), Dans le Noir? Madrid (Madrid), La Montaña (Argüelles), Betelu (Madrid), La Guisandera de Piñera (Madrid), Ají y Sillao (Ciudad Lineal), Latxasca Etxea (Matadero Madrid), Mesón La Alhambra (Valdemorillo), and Corral de la Morería (Madrid).
The LITO map extends beyond the capital to municipalities such as Zarzalejo, Alcalá de Henares, Loeches, and Valdemorillo. The awards are driven by Hospitality Madrid with the support of the Community of Madrid and aim to enhance the prestige of service work, one of the factors that most influence the customer experience.
In the honorary category, the awards have gone to Isabel Díaz Ayuso, president of the Community of Madrid, for her support of the hospitality sector; Mariano Castellanos, honorary president of AMYCE, for over 50 years dedicated to service; Amadeo Lázaro, an active tavern keeper at Los Caracoles since 1942, and Rocío Gandarias (La Cococha Catering), for her 40 years of service.
The president of Hospitality Madrid, José Antonio Aparicio, dedicated some words to Díaz Ayuso, who could not attend the event:
She bravely decided that we could continue working while respecting the criteria that were in place at the time, which were very important. We in the hospitality sector do not forget all of this.
Aparicio also thanked the president for her efforts “to ensure that hospitality is represented in institutions.”
