The works of the Canal de Isabel II will require the closure of Juan Carlos I Avenue in Collado Villalba from the 27th for about six weeks. Additionally, the directions of traffic and several bus stops will change.
According to Madrid Actual, the works of the Canal de Isabel II will cut off Juan Carlos I Avenue in Collado Villalba starting from the 27th and for about six weeks. This measure will affect one of the busiest roads in the city.
The section will be closed in both directions at the height of the Galaico hotel. Cars will be able to circulate between Zoco and Cercedilla street via signposted diversions, while access of all types of vehicles from the Juan Carlos I roundabout, which leads to Rincón de las Eras, is prohibited.
Bus line 660, which connects San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Guadarrama, and Villalba, will move its terminal from stop 6516 to 21485, located on Batalla de Bailén, next to the Municipal Library. Line 664 will add that same stop on weekends towards San Lorenzo de El Escorial and will move its descent towards Villalba from 12563 to 6036, in Zoco.
Lines 681, 682, 683, 684, 685, 688, and N602 will change their stop towards Guadarrama from 6036 to 21484, located at number 61 of Real street.
The Collado Villalba City Council, through the Security, Traffic and Transport Area, has designed a special mobility plan to reduce inconveniences. It recommends planning journeys, using alternative routes, checking public transport changes, and avoiding the area if possible. It also asks to follow the provisional signage and the indications of the Local Police.
