The Community of Madrid has already defined the school calendar for the 2026-2027 academic year. According to epe.es, classes will begin in a staggered manner on September 7 and 8, 2026 depending on the educational stage, and for most students, they will end on June 18, 2027.
On September 7, students from the second cycle of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Special Education, and the Integrated Centres for Artistic Education in Music and Primary will return. The following day, September 8, it will be the turn of students from ESO, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training, Professional Programmes, Conservatories of Music and Dance, and Official Language Schools.
School activities will be practically resumed across the region during the second week of September. The end of the academic year, scheduled for June 18, 2027, affects most educational stages, although some teachings may have specific dates.
Additionally, the calendar includes the holiday periods for Christmas and Holy Week, which families should consider for organising childcare and extracurricular activities.
