Alcorcón Municipal Police removed a simulated machine gun from the public road that a man was carrying after receiving a community alert. The man has been reported.
On Monday, Alcorcón Municipal Police intervened to seize a simulated machine gun that a man was carrying in public, following a community alert. According to Noticias para Municipios, the object had an appearance that could be confused with that of a real firearm if seen from a distance.
The officers removed the object to prevent alarm and risks to the neighbours. The Municipal Police has communicated this through its official channels. The man has been reported in accordance with the Organic Law 4/2015 on the protection of citizen security.
Although it is a simulated weapon, its appearance can generate fear and provoke risky situations. The public road is not a place to display objects that may be confused with real weapons.
This is not the only recent case. During the weekend, in a preventive patrol, officers arrested a person using nitrous oxide to fill balloons next to a vehicle, after seeing several people engaging in this practice in public. Nitrous oxide, known as “laughing gas,” can cause oxygen deprivation and neurological damage if inhaled for recreational purposes.
