The Cantabrian company Diego Jardinería is participating as a subcontractor in the execution of the new vertical garden on the M-30 at the Puente de Ventas in Madrid. According to El Diario Montañés, the project is managed by Madrid Calle 30, with Sorigué as the main contractor.
The affected section is about 400 meters, between kilometers 5.9 and 6.3 of the road. The garden will cover approximately 2,834 square meters and will feature over 100,000 Mediterranean plants, chosen for their resilience in a high-traffic urban environment.
Work began on September 28 and will continue until the end of February. Most of the work will take place at night, between 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM, to minimise traffic disruptions on the road.
Diego Jardinería will send a team of about ten professionals to Madrid. The company states that the garden will integrate more than 30 different species, organised by zones, and that the technical coordination is managed by Terapia Urbana, which provides the Fytotextile® system.
Diego Jardinería previously participated in the earlier phase of vertical gardens on the M-30 at Avenida de la Ilustración. For local residents, the work will continue at night until the end of February.
