Madrid students aged 14 to 21 can register until October 25 for the XVI edition of Young Business Talents, a competition that simulates the management of a car company. The final will be held in Madrid in March.
Students from Madrid aged between 14 and 21 who are in 4th year of ESO, Baccalaureate or intermediate and higher vocational training can now register for the XVI edition of Young Business Talents, an educational competition that simulates the management of a car company. The registration period will remain open until October 25, as reported by the organisation to madridactual.es.
The programme, organised by Abanca and Praxis MMT, invites participants to manage a virtual car company: deciding which models to manufacture and sell, setting the commercial strategy, managing finances, and competing with other teams to achieve the best results. The competition will kick off in November with online phases from classrooms, supported by teachers, and will culminate in a final in Madrid in March.
Teams will work with a business management simulator developed by Praxis MMT, a tool also used by universities and business schools, valued at over 3,000 euros. Participation is free, and interested educational centres can register their teams until the deadline.
During the competition, students will need to make decisions in areas such as marketing, sales, operations, production, corporate social responsibility, and finance. Each decision will have consequences on the evolution of their companies in a virtual market where they will compete against each other.
The winners will share more than 10,000 euros in prizes, both for students and teachers, in addition to certificates. In the last edition, 1,087 pre-university students from 37 educational centres in the Community of Madrid participated, making the region the fourth autonomous community with the highest representation, behind Andalusia (2,101 students), Galicia (1,695), and Catalonia (1,457).
The teams that achieve the best results in the online phases will qualify for the national grand final in Madrid, where they will compete for the title of "best virtual entrepreneurs in Spain."
