The Cantabria Department of Culture, Tourism and Sport and Iberia held a gastronomic experience dedicated to the Cantabrian anchovy in Madrid on Friday, with all places sold out.
The Cantabria Department of Culture, Tourism and Sport, through the public company Cantur, and Iberia organised a gastronomic experience focused on the Cantabrian anchovy in Madrid on Friday. The activity, titled 'Discover the flavour of Cantabria through the anchovy', took place at the Iberia Space, located in the Official College of Architects of Madrid, as reported by Europa Press.
The event sold out shortly after being published on the Iberia Space reservation platform, according to the Cantabrian government. The Doña Tomasa brand led the session, where attendees learned about the history of this product and the artisanal process of its production and preparation, in addition to participating in a tasting.
During the experience, audiovisual content about the gastronomy and territory of Cantabria was projected. The day also included a meeting between representatives of Cantabria Tourism and Iberia to follow up on the actions developed under the current tourism promotion contract and to discuss upcoming initiatives in the airline's advertising supports.
This initiative is part of the collaboration between both entities to promote the tourism and gastronomic offerings of the region in Madrid. Places for this activity are already sold out.
