Travel agencies will analyse their new legal risks at the III Legal Day of Tourism Law of UNAV-Fetave, as reported by Europa Press. The event will take place on Wednesday, November 18, starting at 10:30 AM, at the headquarters of the Confederación Empresarial de Madrid (CEIM), located at Calle Diego de León, 50.
The meeting will bring together specialists in tourism law, business representatives, and professionals from the sector under the slogan “Travel agencies in the new era of risk.” Topics will include international crises, the emergence of artificial intelligence, and regulatory changes in air transport.
One of the panels will focus on the legal responsibility of agencies when war conflicts, pandemics, natural disasters, or destination closures disrupt contracted travel. The intervention of Alicia Gómez Alapont, Director of Legal Affairs and International Standards at UN Tourism, will address the International Code for the Protection of Tourists.
Another session, titled “Travel agent or AI agent? Between innovation and digital intrusion,” will analyse the legal implications of agent-based artificial intelligence, capable of executing operations autonomously. It will feature Antonia Paniza, Professor of Civil Law at the University of the Balearic Islands, and José Antonio Flores, CEO of Conecta Turismo.
Attendance can be in-person or online, with prior registration and limited places. The event is sponsored by the Community of Madrid and supported by the Federación Madrileña de Agencias de Viajes (Femav).
