The Community of Madrid has accompanied two cybersecurity startups at the IA&Digital Bridge 2026 forum, held in Astana (Kazakhstan) from October 1 to 3. The delegation, led by the Cybersecurity Agency, has sought investors and international partners for local talent.
Two Madrid-based cybersecurity startups participated in the international forum IA&Digital Bridge 2026, which took place in Astana (Kazakhstan) from October 1 to 3. The delegation from the Community of Madrid, headed by the Department of Digitalisation through the Cybersecurity Agency, had an institutional stand to showcase its strategy for modernising public services and protecting against technological threats, as reported by vivirediciones.es.
The regional government invited the startups to participate in its space with an agenda of meetings with investors and potential partners. The aim was to facilitate these emerging companies' access to funding and international collaboration opportunities.
The goal is to import the latest innovations to improve public administration, while also promoting the projection of SMEs and the talent incubated in the region to be part of the global ecosystem
This was stated by the Digitalisation Minister, Miguel López-Valverde, who also emphasised the importance of supporting businesses with greater technological potential “so they can compete in the main international arenas and turn their talent into new growth opportunities”.
The Madrid delegation also held meetings with government officials, companies, and experts to understand their priorities in innovation, especially in Central Asian countries. These meetings served to identify possible avenues for collaboration in digital transformation.
The participation of the Cybersecurity Agency in the forum allowed for the presentation of how Madrid's public systems are protected against emerging threats and to learn about the latest trends in the sector. Cybersecurity is consolidating as a strategic area for the regional administration.
