The Carlos Moro Foundation of Matarromera and EAE Business School Madrid have presented their collaboration to boost entrepreneurship in rural areas within the framework of the 5th edition of the EmprendES Awards. The alliance was announced at the EAE Business School Madrid headquarters during a press conference attended by Paloma Moro Dirksen, trustee of the foundation; Tomás Aznar, dean of the centre; and Anindya Saha, an expert in entrepreneurship and investment, according to noroestemadrid.com.
The EmprendES Awards aim to recognise and promote innovative and sustainable projects developed in rural Spain. The Carlos Moro Foundation seeks to give visibility to entrepreneurs who generate economic activity, employment, and opportunities in their territories.
With this fifth edition, we want to continue giving visibility to entrepreneurs who, from rural areas, are demonstrating that innovation, sustainability, and job creation can become engines of transformation for our territories,” says Paloma Moro Dirksen, trustee of the Carlos Moro Foundation of Matarromera.
EAE Business School Madrid will offer the three finalist projects consultancy support and specialised guidance, valued at 4,500 euros. The winner will also access the “Proyecto Invierte” of EAE, valued at 3,500 euros.
At EAE Business School Madrid, as part of Planeta Formación y Universidades, we understand higher education as a real engine of transformation. Hosting initiatives alongside the Carlos Moro Foundation of Matarromera reinforces our commitment to talent, innovation, and the development of the productive fabric. It is a pride to put our ecosystem at the service of projects that generate social and economic value,” stated Tomás Aznar, dean of EAE Business School.
The collaboration with EAE is part of its commitment to entrepreneurship through programmes like EAE Emprende, which integrates training, mentoring, incubation, networking, and access to experts and investors. The participation of Anindya Saha brings the perspective of a professional linked to EAE's entrepreneurship and investment ecosystem, where he has served as a mentor and financing expert.
Collaborating with the Carlos Moro Foundation of Matarromera allows us to connect innovative talent with real-world challenges in rural areas. We want to be the lever that helps these new companies structure their financing, connect with investors, and transform disruptive ideas into solid businesses with long-term impact,” says Anindya Saha.
The candidate projects must demonstrate their potential impact, scalability, viability, and sustainability, with special emphasis on the value they create both at the business level and in the communities where they are developed. The initiative views the fight against depopulation as an opportunity to create new reasons to live, work, and invest in rural territories.
The 5th edition has the collaboration of ATA, PwC, EAE Business School Madrid, Pixel Innova, Mapfre, Iberaval, and Startup Olé. The three finalists will receive, in addition to EAE's consultancy, mentoring from PwC specialists, financial advice and planning of aids from Iberaval, support in hiring and insurance from Mapfre, and diagnosis of digital assets and online presence from Pixel Innova.
