Las Rozas will have its own stand at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, from November 3 to 5, featuring over 100 urban technology projects. This is the municipality's first participation in this congress.

According to noroestemadrid.com, Las Rozas will have its own stand at the Smart City Expo World Congress, in Pavilion 3, stand D70 at Fira Barcelona, from November 3 to 5. The Madrid municipality is attending this international meeting on smart urban solutions for the first time, where it will showcase over 100 projects in urban technology.

The slogan chosen by the City Council is “A bridge to the future. Connecting people, innovation & talent.” With this, the town aims to present itself as a link between businesses, entrepreneurs, universities, research, citizens, and the Administration itself, in order to promote technological innovation, foster economic development, and retain talent.

The projects are grouped into five areas: digital services for citizens, smart and safe city, intelligent and sustainable mobility, green, sustainable, and efficient city, and innovation and talent hub.

Among the initiatives to be showcased are the digital twin of the city, an artificial intelligence surveillance system, an aerial patrol with drones, and a plan for energy self-consumption in all municipal facilities. Intelligent management of water, lighting, atmosphere, and waste will also be presented.

The stand will include a startup area, a networking space, the Ágora stage with presentations and dialogue tables, and a Game Zone where the video game “Las Rozas Tech Run” will be launched. Over the three days, the space will welcome visits from delegations from Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Finland, Norway, and the Netherlands, among other countries.

At the Ágora, 23 companies will participate, either with their own stand or with a presentation within the programme. Among them are HPE, DNOTA-Bettair, which will present a hyperlocal air monitoring case in Las Rozas, Aeioros Servicios, Retail Tools, Cyclomedia, Grupo Maggioli, NEC Ibérica alongside the Digital Office, and Schréder.
