The first Wushu Open in Torrejón de Ardoz takes place this weekend with competitions, exhibitions, and demonstrations open to the public. The day will also feature a surprise that the City Council has yet to reveal.
According to Noticias para Municipios, the first Wushu Open in Torrejón de Ardoz arrives this weekend with competitions, exhibitions, and demonstrations open to the locals.
The event will start at 9.00 hours and will last until approximately 14.00 hours. Among the activities, there will be exhibitions of Kung Fu with traditional weapons, a less common modality that the mayor, Alejandro Navarro, has highlighted for its visual appeal.
The event is organised by the Club Deportivo Elemental de Kung Fu Torrejón de Ardoz, whose president, José Antonio Rodríguez, has presented the activity alongside the mayor.
Every martial art carries a very important load of values that is transmitted to all the people who engage in this type of activity
Rodríguez has placed the emphasis on those values as the objective of the event, which include discipline, respect, effort, and perseverance, and which the club aims to showcase to new audiences in this first edition.
The City Council has also announced a surprise for the audience, although it has not wanted to disclose what it consists of.
I don’t want to reveal it, but it’s going to be very beautiful
