Rayo Vallecano recorded its best home attendance of the year against Celta, with 11,714 spectators according to provisional data from LaLiga. The figure remains below that of last season against the same opponent.
Rayo Vallecano welcomed Celta with 11,714 spectators, the best home attendance of the year according to provisional data from LaLiga. This is noted by Pasión por el Rayo, which recalls that over 13,000 people attended against this same rival last season.
The attendance comes after the closure of Vallecas stadium due to safety and hygiene conditions, which forced the club to play in Leganés. In the six home matches played so far, the average is 5,441 spectators, which is 37% of the capacity.
The match against Celta left almost 3,000 empty seats, around 20% of the capacity. Against Elche, with the stand at the back closed, the attendance was 8,405 spectators.
The next home match, against Athletic Club, will be played behind closed doors, so its official attendance will not be known.
