A man and a woman aged around 75 years have been found dead in the early hours of Monday in a flat at number 10 on Paseo de Húsares, in the Madrid district of La Latina. Both bodies showed signs of violence caused by a blunt object, as confirmed by the supervisor of Summa 112, Gemma Rodríguez, to information published by elperiodicodeceuta.es.
The alert call was made at 4:40 AM, when the Emergency Services 112 Community of Madrid received the notification about the incident. Emergency medical personnel from Summa 112 were dispatched to the property immediately.
The victims showed injuries consistent with assaults inflicted by a blunt object,” explained Gemma Rodríguez.
Upon arrival, the medical staff could only certify the death of the man and the woman. The injuries they presented were consistent with assaults by a blunt object, confirming the violent nature of both deaths. After certifying the deaths, the medical staff left the scene for the security forces.
Following the confirmation of the deaths, National Police officers took control of the scene and initiated the appropriate protocol for such incidents. Investigators have opened the necessary proceedings to determine the sequence of events and the authorship of the assaults.
For the moment, police officers are gathering evidence and inspecting the flat to clarify the exact causes of the case. Investigations remain open to determine the motive for the assault and reconstruct what happened in the home before the alert received at 4:40 AM.
