The Gregorio Marañón University General Hospital retains the top spot in the ranking of the best Geriatrics services according to the Health Reputation Monitor. The Community of Madrid hosts 11 of the 15 centres included in the list.
The Gregorio Marañón University General Hospital repeats as the best Geriatrics service in Spain in the Health Reputation Monitor (MRS) ranking, a list compiled by Merco Salud that includes 15 hospital services from across the country in this edition, as published by geriatricarea.com.
The Getafe University Hospital occupies the second position, and the Albacete University Hospital Complex rounds out the podium. In fourth and fifth place are two other public Madrid centres: the La Paz University Hospital and the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital.
By region, the Community of Madrid has 11 of the 15 hospitals in the ranking. Catalonia contributes two centres, while Castilla-La Mancha and Navarra each add one.
The Spanish Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology (SEGG) has congratulated the service of the Madrid centre for maintaining its leadership in the ranking.
We want to congratulate the Gregorio Marañón University General Hospital and its Geriatrics Service for this recognition and for maintaining its leadership position in the ranking,” declares the SEGG.
The scientific society has also highlighted the work of the Geriatrics teams in Spanish hospitals.
Their dedication and experience contribute to advancing towards increasingly specialised, comprehensive care centred on the needs of older people,” it assures.
The MRS is an independent study that measures the reputation of hospitals, clinical services, doctors, and pharmaceutical companies in Spain, and in its Geriatrics section, it evaluates the care activity of these hospital services.
