Jimena Katherin Marset Cabrera was arrested on June 10, 2025, in Torrejón de Ardoz under an international warrant from Bolivia. Hours later, she was released after a fiscal dismissal was communicated in her favour.

The arrest of Jimena Katherin Marset Cabrera in Torrejón de Ardoz on June 10, 2025 resulted in her freedom just hours later. The operation was coordinated by the Spanish police and Interpol Uruguay, according to information obtained by reduno.com.bo, and was in response to an international arrest warrant requested by Bolivia.

Following the apprehension, the defence initiated actions to prevent extradition. Lawyer Santiago Moratorio explained that the Bolivian authorities communicated to the Spanish authorities that Jimena Marset had a fiscal dismissal and that the international warrant was no longer applicable to her.

The defence argued that the decision was based on the lack of sufficient evidence to continue the process. She was released on the same day.

There is a fiscal resolution signed by these authorities in favour of Katherin Marset Cabrera

This was confirmed by Judge Livia Alarcón, who had knowledge of cases linked to Marset's environment. The magistrate clarified that the Judicial Body did not issue that decision.

Jimena Marset had been included in an investigation by the Bolivian Prosecutor's Office along with other family members of Sebastián Marset. In 2024, she was reported as an accused in a case for alleged drug trafficking and criminal association, and was subsequently declared a fugitive for failing to appear before the Bolivian Justice.

The defence maintained at all times that there was insufficient evidence to demonstrate Jimena's criminal involvement. The case is once again under examination in Bolivia amid investigations into the actions of prosecutors and officials linked to processes related to Sebastián Marset's structure.
