The Patios Abiertos programme will offer 40 free places at each of the CEIP Antoniorrobles and San Lorenzo, from 16:00 to 17:30 on school days. The application deadline ends on September 22.
The public schools Antoniorrobles and San Lorenzo, in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, will have 40 free places each as part of the Patios Abiertos programme, which starts on October 1. The initiative, as reported by lavozmadrid.es, is promoted by the Community of Madrid and co-financed together with the City Council of San Lorenzo de El Escorial.
The programme is aimed at students from 1st year of Early Childhood Education to 6th year of Primary Education. The playgrounds will remain open from October to May, only on school days, between 16:00 and 17:30 hours, during the 2026-2027 school year.
Children will be able to use the facilities freely under the supervision of monitors. There will be no directed activities: the aim is to provide a space for coexistence and recreation after the school day.
The allocation of places will be done on a strict first-come, first-served basis. The deadline for submitting applications ends on September 22. Families must send their request via email to the address provided by the City Council.
Admission confirmation will be communicated by email between September 23 and 28. For more information, the Education Area can be reached at the phone number 91 890 29 41 and at their offices located at Francisco Muñoz, 2, upper floor.
