The Móstoles City Council celebrates the 28th of September to the 2nd of October the III Week of Older People, a five-day programme focused on active ageing, emotional well-being, combating unwanted loneliness, and intergenerational relationships. The information, reported by Noticias para Municipios, indicates that the activities include workshops, a cultural outing, and an institutional event for the International Day of Older Persons.
The programme kicks off on Monday, September 28 with a day dedicated to unwanted loneliness. The following day, Tuesday, September 29, features “Activa-mente”, an intergenerational activity with digital games involving both seniors and young people from the municipality.
On Wednesday, September 30, at 18:30 hours, the Teatro Villa de Móstoles will host one of the main events. During this gathering, the awards for the II Contest “My Best Recipe” will be presented, and a tribute will be paid to the centenarian residents of the town. The day will conclude with a performance by the Banda La Estrella.
On Thursday, October 1, the workshop “Creative Memory in Motion” and a cultural outing to Pedraza are scheduled. Registrations for this trip can be made at Bayern Travel, located at Navia Street, 1.
The week will conclude on Friday, October 2 with the 65yMás Day, featuring participation from former basketball player Fernando Romay.
